It does what it was designed to do
Lowes didn't have it and didn't need it right away. This is a well known brand often used by real telecom companies and they cost about half what I would pay at a hardware store. They cover the holes the panels leave with phone jacks and coax cables, which is the only purpose in life unless you're a big fan of looking through holes. The bonus is that if you're prone, you can hide things in the walls so someone else can find them in the future. Tip: Do not overtighten the screws as they are made of *plastic* and can break. It's not a design flaw, but plastic is. If you want something more indestructible, go for stainless steel.
