I haven't used the air filter for a long time (because the filter was clogged) and when I decided to stop using the snow shovel dust collector I had to change the filters. I stumbled across this pre-filter, read the reviews and decided the only complaint I had was the thinness of the material and the need to cut it under the air filter housing. The pre-filter that came with me is more than adequate size, I triple folded that and trimmed off the excess and voila! I think people complain that these pre-filters don't fit in their personal air filters. There are so many makes and models of air filters out there (both used and new) and I appreciate that this product works so well for an aftermarket product that will fit most of them. The larger cut size, price, and air cleaning efficiency made it easier for me to breathe. And my snow shovel is just as retired as me!
