We are a framing company that has been using PLS lasers for years but this new model has us looking elsewhere. Size is an important factor in deciding what to pack in your bag. This is significantly more than the previous models. The downward-firing laser isn't visible without a stand or unless you mount it to something that either adds more bulk or makes it really uncomfortable. The light dimmer isn't a hindrance, but it's disappointing compared to previous models. PLS (now Fluke) has a great warranty and generally durable products. So if they fix the design, we will most likely come back.
