I read many reviews before deciding to buy. The product itself works as it should. Most parts are plastic. Yes the parts come apart but that's not a design flaw, they have to be taken apart to clean the parts. For me it was irrelevant. For this reason, both sides of the filter have no mesh. One side is a very thin metal mesh, while the other side has small holes in the plastic of the brewer itself that allow bits of tea to squirt out. If you are looking for absolutely zero tea particles floating around in your tea then this article may not be for you. The set includes two brew heads, a mixing spoon that can be used as a straw, a cleaning stick, a cleaning brush and a container. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it. Don't get frustrated when details come up, just be patient. The mixing spoon/straw is made of metal and will not fall apart, so it is highly recommended that you wash it immediately, especially if you tend to use sweeteners. I cannot stress enough that once you get used to how to use a set, it will change the world. I noticed that the spring itself doesn't come out in the brewer, so in this part I don't use the cleaning wand with a normal in/out motion, but twist the wand like I would a screwdriver. Some may find this tedious or even unnecessary, but for me it works without damaging the nib itself. I've had my set for over a month now and use it almost every day with no problems. I used both leaves and placed the entire tea bag in the tea infuser (after removing the tea infuser). I currently hand wash everything so I don't know how it will be in the dishwasher.
