Wheel bead surface damage
A hammer was used to break the bead of a size 20 10 10 tire The depth cannot be controlled so the hammer contacted and damaged the surface of the wheel when the bead broke . This resulted in time spent grinding and smoothing out the resulting dents and crevices so that the new tire bead would fit snugly. Hammer accomplished the intended task by breaking the pearl; However, if your aim and control are no better than mine, be prepared to repair the wheel rim surface.
