This bag is almost perfect for the job with the following advantages: -- Perfect for protection. With a silicone case and hard outer case, you could probably throw it in a rock without damaging the drive. Of course I won't prove it, but it's very well done. The carabiner for the silicone case is handy if you just want to take the drive with you and attach it to your belt loop for short trips (e.g. to a conference room) and don't want to fiddle with the whole case. -- The case keeps the USB cable from falling out if you open it upside down, which I inevitably do. The only downside is that you get a lot of bulk to offer this level of protection. The T7 measures 3.35 x 2.24 x 31 inches. This case measures 5.4 x 4 x 1.5 inches. This means you are looking at 60% to 485% (depending on the size) and the total size is 14 times larger than the HDD. I carry three of these for virtual machine storage, and when I have three of these cases I have to stop using my laptop sleeve and go back to my laptop backpack.
