I was so excited to get this dress because I thought it was cute as buttons in the pictures; sadly, I could not have been more wrong about it.When it arrived the 1st thing that caught my attention was that the entire thing was made out of sweatshirt fabric, which is a bizarre choice for a dress that looked and sounded summery in the description.To be clear, this entire dress appears to be made from marl grey sweatshirt material, including the ribbed fabric at the cuffs.Assuming it was actually meant to be worn over a turtleneck and tights in the winter, I tried it on, which is when I realized the perplexing marriage of fabric and design was not the only problem with this dress.Whether you wear this with a turtleneck or not, it is horribly unflattering.Being a little more specific, the entire outfit looks like a big gray sack with an unsightly lump sticking out on either side where the pockets are.That feature was particularly disappointing to me because I absolutely love pockets and think they should be on everything, yet on this dress, they take what already looks bad and make it worse.Personally, I also find the neckline is too high, which irritates me, so I spend a lot of time tugging at it.The other thing to keep in mind about this dress is that it is short; basically, you won't want to bend over in this dress until you confirm no one is standing behind him.Honestly, I am racking my brain trying to figure out what the original intent behind this dress was because, even if you set aside the fact that it looks horrible on, the marriage of a winter fabric with a summer style makes for an outfit that won't work for many activities.I suppose if you are looking for a short dress that you can only wear around the house, this might work for you.Or should you be looking for a sleeveless sweatshirt that is extra long, this might also be an option.Everyone else should probably give this one a pass
