Review on πŸ“βœ¨ Ultimate Precision with Spin Doctor Leveling System 100Pc - Achieve Perfectly Leveled Surfaces with Ease! by Mike Johnston

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This system works, but there are a few headaches.

So I tiled two small bedrooms, one without a leveling system and the other with a Spin Doctor system using 1/8" black spacers. I'm much happier with the lack of lipage in the wrestling room. I use them with no additional friction pads, which Revain doesn't carry for some reason. Tightening the caps did NOT scratch my imitation wood printed porcelain tiles. However, the company recommends seals for natural stone. Tip #1: I've had better luck using them on straight joints instead of T-joints. I recommend a leveling device on each of the four sides of a rectangular or square tile and a T or X shaped passive tile for non-straight joints. Tip #2: Avoid getting the grout on the sides of the pad. If the gasket is pushed into place and doesn't "give" when you hit the cap to break the gasket, the gasket will break up and you'll have to break it off and sand it down to get the remaining plastic. below the grout line. The dremel did it for me fairly quickly, but an oscillating tool with a gouge blade might work better. Tip #3: Tile an entire room at once if you can. Where I stayed in a tweaked room and then picked it up the next day, it's the only place where leveling isn't great. If you must leave the room unfinished, place spacers for the next row to dry for the next row. It worked well, but not very well. Tip #4: You'll need more seals and caps than you think. It's better to have a few spares than to run out during a project.
