I have a 2006 Honda CR-V and it uses H1 bulbs. Although these bulbs are designed to be a plug and play system, this may not be the case on some vehicles fitted with H1 bulbs. On a 2006 Honda CR-V, the factory bulb is inserted into the plastic adapter, then a spring loaded retaining clip holds the bulb and plastic adapter in the headlight. From there, the wiring harness is connected to a plastic adapter. These LED bulbs were not connected to factory adapters, but I was able to custom make an adapter using a metal disc. The adapter holds the lamp in place and acts as a surface for the mount. For installation I removed the headlights, which also required removing the bumper. This gave me enough space and a good view of the headlight to develop the adapter. Once everything was taken apart, the bulbs were easy to install. Only two cables to connect to the factory wiring harness. What I love about LED bulbs: - Great color - Instant brightness (no waiting like HID systems) - Very bright - The bulbs themselves were easy to install Things that could be improved - Although probably not possible, wish it was contain different adapters for different machines. This would make the installation much easier.
