My 4 year old son wanted 'paternal' shoes for church and while dressing up a bit. Stylistically, they meet all requirements; However, I was totally disappointed in the quality. He wears them about once a week, mostly to church and Sunday school. These shoes don't seem to stand up to accidental trips or bumps, however, as the toe cap on both wore out in the space of three months. They also developed unsightly creases where the shoe flexes on the foot. All other pairs of shoes we bought for this purpose were "retired" in perfect condition, because my son had outgrown them - this would be the first pair of shoes that didn't even last a season. I guess they are affordable
