Replacing two 120mm Cougar fans with one 200mm fan makes the computer significantly quieter. The noise appears to be at a lower frequency, making it more bearable. I run it at low speed with the adapter cable that comes with the fan. It fits the CoolerMaster HAF 912 from the front but not the top, which is a shame. Minimal surgery is required if you don't want the bezel of the case to stick out on the sides when everything is zipped closed. I forgot to measure the noise level in the room before replacing the fans, but now it's between 38-39 dBA according to a small sound level meter I bought here on Amazon. link below. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AHK8WUW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
