I've been using my shaker for at least 6 months and the quality hasn't deteriorated one bit. My bottle has only a few scratches from being dropped during work and exercise which is just a testament to the durability of this item. There is a little notch on the neck of the bottle, I guess you would call it a holder, and even this thing still holds. Material and workmanship are first class. The only problem I noticed with this bottle is that there is an O-ring in the groove where the bottle head screws onto the bottle body to prevent leakage. This seal is particularly difficult to clean and can allow mold and bacteria to grow, which is an obvious problem. I've tried scrubbing it with a sponge, multi-faucet sink and shower jet, and dish scraper to get all the particles out, but nothing really worked. Now I just use a couple of cotton swabs with soap to get in. Clean the bottle after each use if you use it for more than just water. Also included with the bottle is a metal ball stirrer to help fluff up any buildup at the bottom of the bottle which is super easy to clean as you can flatten it and clean it with a sponge.
