Review on APEC Certified Alkaline Water RO PH90 by Paula Baker

LOVE this system! I used to buy water and had to carry jugs of it with me, and now it's so convenient to just open a special faucet and drink fresh, clean water every day! Delivery was very quick - next day fast - and I installed that night. Talk about instant gratification! INSTALLATION: The system is relatively easy to install yourself. I have a lot of experience as a craftsman, but I don't think there is anything difficult about it. It is necessary to shut off the cold water supply under the sink, unscrew the sink hose, screw in the adapter, reconnect the sink hose. You then need to wire the system together, a large part of which involves fitting the correct colored tubes into the correct slots, which is very easy. The hardest part was installing the extra water spout. You have to wriggle under the sink with a tiny lock nut that holds the spout in place from below. This is my main complaint: this lock nut is tiny and very awkward to tighten compared to installing other faucets. There's definitely room for design improvement here, but once you've slipped it on it's all set, out of sight and out of mind. Suggestion: Have the right size key here in multiple configurations so you can find one that fits the limited space below. If you don't have a partner to hold the nozzle while you rotate from below, secure with tape :-) After installing the entire system, turn on the cold water, turn on the water supply to the system, open the tank tap and let the tank fill completely (2-3 hours), drain the water completely to flush the system (about 5 minutes), fill the tank (another 2-3 hours) and you're good to go ! Drink clean water from the tap! The system comes with good clear instructions and pictures, follow them. I'm just giving you a summary here so you have an idea of what to expect. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS: I bought this from Revain. I wanted fast shipping with my Prime account. Please note that Revain provides them unmodified and unmodified. If you need a Quick Dispense upgrade I would just order direct from Apec as they will upgrade your system for Quick Dispense (change the 5th and 6th step from 1/4 to 3/8 so your water dispenses faster ). I ordered the RO-PH90 system and retrofit kit from Revain only to find that since I ordered a 6 stage system I still need to buy ANOTHER filter, 6th stage, 3/8, the more than $45. If I had bought direct from the company I would have saved myself $45 and they would have changed it for me. Like now, I just use the included 6th stage filter (they last 6-12 months) and then swap it out for the faster flow 3/8 filter. Not so hot what's up. But if it helps, I'll let you know :-)
