I've been using Nalgene Wide Neck for EIGHT years, every day at every job. We were inseparable. All the dinners together, late nights, early mornings, fears of bosses, laughter at co-workers. Ah, the joys we shared together. I didn't even treat it that well, dropped it on the concrete, down the stairs, threw it in the car, and not a single leak. I once threw it in a car without the cap on and it gently reminded me to tighten the cap with spilled water. I left him almost everywhere, but we always found each other. Until a work meeting left her in the conference room. I guess someone was very jealous of our affection and stole it! NO! Truly the end of an era. There really was a connection here. Well 8 years later of daily use that's a good rating for me to go back and buy the same water bottle. :)
