The shirt was for my son. I ordered up to avoid the shirt being too tight and I am glad I did. This would be a totally different review had I ordered his normal size. He loves the shirt. The soft fleecy like material in the inside made a world of a difference. It is very soft against the body. It looks like your typical run of mill thermal shirt from the outside but is a game changer in the inside. Because of the larger size, he is able to move freely and not feel restricted. It's a good comfortable and warm shirt that can be worn solo as a layer. The best part was it didn't shrink when washed either.
