The new version of this computer stand is a total disappointment! We bought the same stand a year or two ago and it was (and still is) perfect. The old one is stable and strong and will not tip over. This newer, lighter version of the exact same stand is now cheap and not nearly as strong. By placing the stands side-by-side (in the same position, with the Mac on the stands), the older, heavier stand won't tip back on a minor impact, but the new one will tip back, potentially causing serious damage to the laptop. What a disappointment! I immediately repackaged it and sent it back. I don't see why they should take a good product and ruin the quality by making it cheaper and less durable.
