I ordered this collar for my lab puppy. Before I bought the collar I read a lot of reviews and some of them reported sharp edges. But most people were happy with the collar and I liked that it was made in the USA so I ordered it. i love the collar Ideal for a lab puppy. Good sturdy collar with comfortable closures. But I only gave it 4 stars because the reviewers were right about the sharp edges. I think they are safe, especially for large, thick-coated dogs. But if manufacturers want to improve the collar, I suggest they find a way to smooth out the one piece of material that is cut next to the clasp. This can potentially cause irritation in a short-haired dog. But overall it would only be an improvement. When my pup outgrows this size I will definitely be ordering another one from this company.
