materials are good. They are really breathable so don't smell like most of my son's shoes. But what is very bad? outsoles! About a week or two after wearing them, they started to fall off. My son is active, but he's not the flash. He wore them for a little over a month. They are very poorly assembled. They also broke right down the middle of the floor. So the water seeps through. God I don't know who or how to contact the seller as I was hoping for an exchange or something. But! We still love the Stride Rite. Just not in this particular shoe.
