The tail hole is too large for a regular tail. I suppose it’s intended for something like a bulldog or a fat stubby tail. I originally ordered a size small for my 11 month old boxer. She is on the small side for her breed. The smalls were slightly too tight for her, so I ordered a set of medium. They fit her perfectly. I have washed them all once in the washing machine and they came clean easily. I put them in the dryer as well, on low heat. They didn’t shrink any. I have used these for a long time and they work great! I put a thick pad inside so if it gets soiled you can just throw out the pad and don't have to keep washing the diaper. My little girl has a docked tail so I don't have to put her tail through the hole. I just cover the hole with the pad. If you dog has a long tail you can lower the pad and fold it over or cut a hole where the tail goes. I've done both. Love these doggy diapers. My 10 month old went into heat and I bought these to keep the mess contained, they work great! I first purchased diapers at PetS****, because of the shape they didn't even stay on my dog so don't go there to buy them, these are WAY better than large pet retailers diapers! I use these intermittently for my 4.5 lb rescue chihuahua and they’re adorable and functional if she leaves them on (why I added the star). Initially she flailed around like an alligator doing a death roll in an attempt to escape the diaper but once I got her used to them, she usually wears them well and the work for urine. She’s so small I think a poo would go right through the tail hole. My girl is good about pooing outside so I’m lucky about that.

My 12.5 year old GSP was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer. She has started bleeding which has caused her to lick. Her Vet does not want her licking. These fit very well because of the adjusting legs. These are beautiful, but the choice of fabric and the cut make it very wide and heavy between the dogs, hind legs. I tried two sizes and one was way too small and the other was way too large. They have wonderful adjustments around the back legs, but this was too much heavy material between her legs, and no matter how I fastened there was too much fabric, pushing against the front of her legs so she just went backwards in circles. Buy these! They clean really well and are great quality with a beautiful pattern. 10000 times better than disposable diapers. Use a panty liner to avoid having to wash often. Easy to remove and seem comfy for my pup. I used these while my puppy was in heat, and I had no issues with any leaking.

My dog likes to go inside when she visits other homes. With these diapers I don’t have to worry about that. It’s a piece of mind when I bring her to visit others.

I have a Cane Corso and her tail is large so the hole is way more comfortable for her. The thicker velcro is amazing! I wish I would have waited until I got these to order other ones. I bought 3 different brands and these are by far my favorite! Will probably be getting more in the future.

Worked good. Used mainly for dog in heat but she did use it to potty in too. The only issues I have are the Velcro turned from white to yellow after a couple of washes and one elastic started to fray a bit.

Works fine but my Weimaraner got chaffed. My ten year old dog has incontinence and this diapers helped but she chaffed even though I change the diapers 3-4 times a day. I think it will work great for dogs with more fur.
