This is the fourth type of diapers we’ve tried with our Stella, who has degenerative myelopathy and is incontinent. There are so many ways to ensure that they’re secure around her waist and legs that they look custom-made! Button elastic around the leg holes is TERRIFIC - adjust for a secure fit around the legs once, and you’re good (kind of like set and forget lol). Snaps on the top can shorten the waist if needed for a better fit, but we didn’t need to with our pug. She seems very comfortable in these as well!Though these have a padded absorbency layer built in, we use a human incontinence pad (cut to fit) as well, since our dog is completely incontinent and when she goes, she GOES. The price point is TERRIFIC - we were able to purchase a few 3-packs, so she’ll always have a fresh one on hand when the others are in the wash. We do use a home-made peekeeper-type diaper holder over this to ensure it stays on (wraps around the waist and over the "shoulders”), but honestly I don’t think we need it - we’ve had no slippage or drooping, even with her super-wobbly gait and dragging-to-stand.She has peed through these a couple of times, even with a pad insert, but again she’s completely incontinent so we were expecting this (which is why we purchased a few packs); still, we’re no longer getting the "trail of pee” that we used to with other diapers lol. Poop STAYS PUT until we change her, which averages 2-3 times per day - no more "surprises” in the middle of the living room floor lol. Tail hole is just the right size, not so tight we have to force the tail through, but not so loose as to allow leaks.For reference, Stella is about 20 pounds with a 17” waist and we’re using a medium size. We will ABSOLUTELY purchase these again when needed!
