I needed a webcam for all the conference calls I do from home and this seemed like a good (affordable) candidate. After unpacking, I was immediately impressed with the status of this webcam. It's easy to focus all your attention on the camera itself, but I've found that a poor quality stand/mount can get boring very quickly. The mount of this webcam allows you to install it in different ways. The stand itself is heavy enough that the camera can simply "stand" on a table or part of your computer. You can unfold it halfway and hang it over your monitor, or unfold it all the way and squeeze between things on your desk. There is also a threaded tripod mount if you want to use any tripod. In the box with the camera you will find a physical shutter that you can attach (stick on) if you'd rather have something physical to block the shutter when the camera is not in use. I didn't bother - I just turned off the camera or put it behind the monitor. The camera itself is a normal webcam. I plugged it in and Windows 10 immediately recognized and configured it. The built-in Camera app in Windows allowed me to preview the image, play around with settings, and otherwise make sure everything was working. I did notice barrel distortion around the edges of the image, but you'll never be sitting on the edge of an image during a conference call, so it really doesn't matter. The middle 80% of the images look normal. I've attended various Zoom and MS Teams calls and the camera has always worked well. The picture quality was very clear and bright, and the device itself never caused any problems with Windows. I think webcams are one of those things that either work or don't, and this one just works. It's hard to ask for more than that. It delivers good picture quality and a really well thought out stand to position it however you like.
