Stopped working after a few months

Worked great at first but then stopped working. I need two USB ports for my Surface Pro4 and it worked great for a while but now it doesn't cost a dime. It used to cost me about $2 a month to use and now I need to buy something better. I'm getting a LYFNLOVE Aluminum 3-Port USB 3.0 Hub with RJ45 Gigabit Port LAN Network Adapter for Surface Pro 4. I think I'll have better luck spending a few dollars more.
