The writing on the cap obscures the view of the handpiece. which is important because you have to stop by hand - It doesn't leave the tip as sharp as the Staedtler 502, but it has 2 hole sizes for different hooklengths - A bit pricey considering options like Kum or Staedtler. 502. A good sharpener when you need a portable sharpener and don't need the thinnest point. If you want a finer tip and don't need a 3.15mm sharpener, you might be better off getting something like the Staedtler 502.
