Wiring explanation for LED light bulb

The wiring diagram that came with the lamp was the same as that on the Revain sales page. This is a clear indication that all magnetic or electronic ballasts must be removed from the lamp circuit. Exactly how this should be done depends on the buyer. In my case I have an architectural lamp with a transformer at the base where the lamp is attached to the table. I had to open the lamp base and disconnect the transformer from the circuit. The connection diagram clearly shows the 4 wires going to the old lamp, but not so clearly in relation to the new LED lamp. The new LED lamp has 4 wires; two white and two gray. I used an ohmmeter to make sure the white wires are electrically the same and the gray wires are electrically the same. I twisted the two white wires and one of the power wires together and put a nut on them. I did the same for the gray wires and the other power cable. The diagram that comes with the lamp states that it doesn't matter which power wire is connected to which wire of the lamp. Works and is very bright!
