Great purchase! I've seen a lot of videos of people saying it's broken. I thought so too, but found I was using it incorrectly. 😅. First you need to place the item flush with the barrel and then hold down the power button. It will light up and beep and then stop when it stops beeping and the red light goes out. Then move it along the wall without releasing the button until you're done. I suggest starting at the far corner of your wall, not the middle, because if you do this and end up on a joist, it won't work. It also doesn't work if you just press and release the button, or if you hold down the button while away from the wall and then try to place it on the wall. I hope this will be helpful to everyone.
