First of all, I travel a fair bit. We have a sister office in Norway, and beyond that, my girlfriend/friends and I travel around the world for vacations and photography and such.With that in mind, I definitely needed a universal charger, rather than an assortment of "adapters" to keep track of. Furthermore I want something compact, sturdy, and with the most important thing of all: Fast USB ports. I'll typically only charge my MacBook Pro using the AC port, but ALL my other devices charge over USB, so I needed more than one, and not at a measly 1.5A or something abysmal like that (the iPad would take all day to charge on something that slow).This has 4 USB ports on the bottom (pretty handy, although the top would have been arguably more convenient), all the major outlet interfaces built in on retractable sliders, and even feels nice to the touch! It's a chunky little thing, but not TOO chunky. and way smaller than a bag of adapters.Overall, it's served me super well, and I love the thing. I recommend getting a bright color (I chose neon green), so you don't accidentally leave it in a hotel, and can find it quickly in your bag.Thumbs way up, and will never travel (internationally) without it!
