As other reviews have mentioned the chrome selector tends to pop right off if you're not careful. However, this is intentional (to a point) so you can remove the outer ring to tighten the element to the pipe without damaging both the chrome/plastic exterior and the fit against the inner wall. Once it's on the pipe and you know it can pop out, it's easy to adjust with no hassles. I don't like the "needle" spray pattern, but it's currently the only pattern available for a 0.5 GPM aerator (too much research and product comparisons before purchasing this item led me to that conclusion with confidence ). The 0.5 setting is great for almost all my needs, but it's great that I can speed up the flow when needed. My house is designed to get hot water to the faucets farthest from the water heater for an eternity and a whole day. The slower the flow, the longer it takes to heat up the water. When I'm on the other end of the house, I can turn the faucet on "high" so the water flows faster and gets warmer. Once the water is warm I can turn it back down to 0.5 and carry on as usual.
