Unfortunately it didn't work as advertised on our four year old couch and chair. After applying it to our furniture with the applicator provided, we now have new areas where the color has been removed/lightened. Think of it as a combination when the applicator and some type of alcohol are used in the product. It smells like window cleaner. Now I need to find another product to fix/cover this new damage. It's best to try on an area that no one will see before tackling the seating areas. Lesson learned. :-(
