This particular model has been improved with the addition of internal lock washers. It actually snaps into place. Based on the negative reviews, I was concerned that the palm rest would slip under the weight of the chisel, but it doesn't. The manufacturer drew attention to the problem - and improved this model. Considering the tool holder slides over a square profile - at an angle it tends to slip out and requires manual adjustment as it tends to slip out of the channel. If it were a T-profile or a dovetail profile, there would be a workpiece rest in the tool holder. However, getting locked up near a spinning wheel can be pretty dangerous, so I'll just mention it instead of complaining about it. Once you get used to it, it can become a very small problem. The laxity of the working world holder and the sliding channel can be solved with Teflon or Kapton tape, which allows it to slide with tighter tolerances. Sharpening on a bench grinder isn't usually that accurate, but it's worth noting. Generally a very good and inexpensive instrument stand. It beats the originals that came with the bench grinder by a mile. I highly recommend it.
