Brand tools aside, they're great
They're well designed and work almost flawlessly. Apply a liberal amount of wax paste to the holes (I used a 6x6 cedar) and use a vise until the screw is fully seated in the wood, then patiently tighten with the proprietary tool (yuk). But they work really well, look fantastic and have held up great (so far)!
