Review on 🔊 Alpine SXE-1725S 80W 6.5-inch 2-Way Type-E Coaxial Speakers with Mylar-Titanium Tweeters in Black by Hector Watkins

I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota and one of the original speakers in the front doors recently died. To be honest, I don't expect much from my truck speakers. I mostly listen to podcasts and after 40 years of flying airplanes my hearing is still shot through. However, I am not impressed by the Alpine basses. Even compared to the remaining and still running OEM speakers, the SXE's bass is almost non-existent. Whilst I was planning on changing a pair I will now just replace the failed OEM speaker and keep the other one in hopes it will last longer. Until then, the rest of the Alpines are on the shelf. Installation was fairly easy with only minor modifications to the existing brackets. I recommend a Metra harness or similar to connect to the stock harness. Alpines will suit me but I won't be buying them again.
