Levelok open rungs are designed to fit inside the rungs of a ladder and are held in place by the correct tension at both ends. Moving and using the ladder around the construction site can sometimes cause the legs to vibrate outward as they are not attached to the ladder. There is a thick black marker line at the end of the bar that indicates the minimum penetration (5 inches) for safe use of the bars. The thick black line is fully visible. It is always important to deploy or test them to ensure adequate penetration when first deployed and/or just prior to installing a stair on a building or other surface. This is common sense for any tool that isn't fastened with screws, nails, bolts or welds if you use the stands in a normal, average way without undue stress on a job site ladder or stand and transport them when you yourself in a vehicle on the stairs, the tension at the two ends of your braces may seem too loose. To adjust the tension, you can gradually pull the two bent ends away from each other until the tension you want to achieve a tight fit ed. Please try. First check: Use a different counter/stability solution. Levelok resets itself. Once fully installed and placed, the ladder becomes less and less stable. I am installing a solar panel on a crew of four so that stairs can go up and down for various reasons.
