bad bad bad design choice. Some sort of cotter pin or other method could EASILY be devised to ensure they don't pop out. i do all the time It has been claimed that elevators can stand unaided but this is NOT TRUE. This is a ball and socket connection. Of course, when they're in some designer's office, they get up without any help. do everything but don't let him down. That is, if the joint stays connected at all. Just very poor design and thought process. However, it's nice that there are multiple connection options (top or bottom or threaded). That is, as long as you don't drop it and shatter the flimsy plastic parts. But this is an overview of the actual bar/lift they are designed for. It's just a piece of plastic that will NOT stay attached like it should. It's a shame for such a reputable company. 30 minutes and it was possible to build something out of plywood.
