Before I bought this tool I used a cheap O'Reilly socket with a cup but it removed my filters and didn't do what it was supposed to (Remove the damn filter!) I ended up having to stick a long screwdriver down the filter so I could hook the belt buckle, then wrap the belt around the filter, and then find a good enough angle for the lever because of all these problems the way how Subaru designed the exhaust. wrapped around the damn filter. Anyway, I had no intention of going through that headache process again, so I decided to give this key a try. and ended when I turned it. I decided to remove the red rubber plugs but nothing changed. I found it difficult to grab the wrench with my left hand when turning the ratchet with my right hand because the wrench kept slipping. wanted it removed. In any case, my solution was to use two regular sized zip ties. I kept the wrench on the filter with my hand while tying the zip ties, and voila! No slipping and the filter came off very easily and nicely. This is a normal key and I hope my solution will help those who are facing my problem.
