Do not buy this if you need a stainless steel ruler. The 6" and 12" models cling to the magnet like bare steel. This is because it is not stainless steel. will charge you twice the price of an identical steel ruler while falsely claiming it is stainless steel. In America this is called false advertising, in Japan maybe salesmanship? .
