Review on ๐Ÿ”ด Custom Red Weights + Wrench for Titleist Scotty Cameron Putters - HISTAR Set of 2 by Jose Haskin

Great view and price!

I love playing with a heavy stick! One of my biggest fears when buying the Scotty was getting a lighter stick than the Odyssey 2-Ball with the CounterCore Slim Grip grip that I've worked with before. I understand that he wants his racquets to feel a certain way and he wants to keep a certain weight for them. However, I paid a fair amount of money for his racquet and would like to customize it to my liking. To do this, I visited Scotty Cameron's official website and was blown away by the prices of the outsole weight adjustment kit ($154) which includes the removal tool and is priced at $48 if you buy it separately . So a set of 6 weights - 2-10, 2-15 and 2-20 - will cost you about $106 if you subtract $48 for the tool (socket). Remember, we didn't add taxes and shipping to the $154. The same setup will set you back $46 (plus a few more dollars in taxes) and give you 3 wrenches. Save yourself $108. I bought a set of 30 and 35 racquets, which are generally not stocked on the official website as their weight is limited to 20. Again, I like the freedom to customize them to my liking, and I like a heavy racquet. As you can see from the photos the red color looks nice and goes well with the classic three dot cherry on the back of the stick. For those with only two spare weights, the CounterCore Grip costs $32 and can add weight to your racquet if you don't have four slots like the Futura 6M. As for changing the weights, I wanted to avoid the possibility of rusting, so I didn't put the stick in hot water. Two of the weights came off easily while the other two were a bit frayed. Since I had two wrenches, I didn't mind tapping with one. I held it firmly in the slot with my hand and gently tapped one side of the "T" on the top of the key with the hammer. The weight came off after a few hits and I took it off like the others. All weights sit flush and the key hasn't bent or looked weird like in some photos. It was definitely user error. I took a wrench and all 5 pins look fine but one side of the "T" looks cracked as you would expect after using a hammer on it. I hope this was helpful to those who have doubts about this product.
