I was concerned after reading some of the reviews but it worked great! Removing the weights from my son's 2018 Newport 2 wasn't a big deal. I think the reviewers who have trouble are faking Scotty Cameron because the weights are attached with glue. The original Scotty Cameron has rubber seals. Undressing is no problem!

If you want to scratch the bottom of your $400 club this is the product for you. The tool is unusable. The teeth buckled after my first try and eventually scratched the bottom of my stick. The teeth are not long enough for the original weights, but are perfect for new weights. I would recommend buying weights and taking them to a golf repair shop if your original weights don't come out easily.

I put them on a 2016 Scotty Cameron Select Newport 2. couldn't tell unless you were paying close attention. The other side was a good fit. I weighed everyone and the scale showed 10g. I am happy with their price. I'm taking off a star because they don't fit as perfectly as the originals, but it's hardly noticeable. They do their job. The tool also worked perfectly, there were no problems with it.

The tool alone isn't very useful unless you first loosen the screw lock (e.g. Loctite) that was used when the scale was originally installed . The force required to break the thread lock is probably in the 50-60 pound range (my guess as I don't know what thread lock Titleist used when installing these weights at their factory). The handle of the tool extends 1 inch beyond the midshaft, making the force required to apply to the end of this handle the same as that required to loosen the thread…
