There were no instructions for this so I just looked at the packaging. Because at first it didn't stay on the dashboard when my phone was in it. After figuring out how to properly attach it to the dashboard, the phone holder works really well and my phone is a bit heavy in the case. The ventilation function works well too, but I use the dashboard option more often. Seems well made and solid. My phone is easy to remove and place on the mount using the release button. There is a piece on the back of the base that fits your phone so you can carry it by adding a dashboard holder or air vent holder. In addition, the bottom of the piece you place on the dashboard unlocks and locks with a twist to allow for suction. I am satisfied with my purchase and I recommend this product.
