Almost got it back when I unpacked and started building. Directions are TERRIBLE. There are no written instructions at all, just diagrams which are completely ridiculous (amazing how much "action" goes on in them - see photo). I'll try to write some tips hoping it will save someone time in building. Step 1 involves removing the airframe hardware. It was madness in itself not to write something. If you're like me, you'll assume you must have misunderstood the diagram - why step 1 should have started parsing something - doesn't make any sense. I did it, but I don't think it should have been done. Now I'm assuming that in step 2 you need to lay it on the floor to mount it on the legs and it doesn't lay flat with the hardware on it. I did it on a nice plush rug, equipment wouldn't be a problem. In step 2 I put the parts on backwards. If the hardware was still attached I would place the pieces where the hardware side would be facing up. Whether you remove the device or not, this side should face the ground when reassembling. I had to take it apart and turn the parts over. Step 3 is pretty easy if the parts are pointing in the right direction - mine weren't lol. They are coming. Step 4 is pretty easy as long as you just place the dowels and hardware where they belong, at the top of the unit and below - they line up nicely. You may have to stick your hand in to secure a few clasps - once I did that, they snapped in nicely. Step 5, the "M" part does not have the pre-drilled holes for nail placement as you would expect. I just placed them where I wanted. Step 6 - Don't overtighten yet - In step 7 you will be inserting the bottom of the drawer and this is difficult if the screws are over tightened. Step 7 was pretty easy. Step 8 - I did not attach it to the wall. As other reviewers have noted, the box is crooked. On mine I had to unscrew the rail from the "E" plate and lower it down the front to prevent the drawer on the right going up so high that they snagged on the top every time it opened or closed would until I did it. It was easy to fix. I pre-drilled the hole to allow the screw to easily fit into its new home. If I had checked it the night I received it, or even the next day, I would have given it a "1" just because of the instructions. This is so easy to fix that others don't have the same problem - just write a sentence of two at each step so the instructions are clear. The finished product is worth the effort of assembly. This block is VERY strong (I didn't use glue, there's no indication anywhere on where to use it and I was afraid I'd have to take it apart if I got it wrong so I skipped the glue) . It is just as beautiful as the picture and not only am I recommending it to others I am buying one for myself - I LOVE IT! I canceled a run because of the terrible building instructions.
