I was volunteering for tough law enforcement and military training and needed something that worked well against sims and I didn't want to spend $300 on something real that I would never use. So I needed something that would fit my oversized shoe, that I could modify to fit under my headgear, and that would certainly withstand more abuse than a regular airsoft gun, and this helmet delivered. This helmet is HEAVY. I'm a big guy and I stay in pretty good shape and a few hours of wearing this and aiming and I'm starting to feel tired. If I feel it, I'm sure someone younger/smaller will feel it, but it's actually a pro too, because while it's definitely not mil-spec material, the thicker/heavier material will hold up to the occasional hit, and simulation rounds register only through sound. . The side rails are already lost to loose screws, so I wouldn't trust them with no-locking headphone adapters or any modifications, but I just slip my hearing aid underneath and mix up the inner ear cups. Pros: + Heavy, decent construction for the money, seems like good materials + Metal cover for night vision or mounts + Velco is already on the helmet + Big enough to fit large heads and headgear underneath + Definitely on the higher end of airsoft helmets with which I came across + ventilation is sufficient, I did not notice overheating of the head. Cons: - Big and heavy, not for short people and weak necks - The screws started to loosen and loosened the side rails. That's about what I need. I don't need it to do anything else. I doubt I could find a better one for my needs.
