I bought this hood for surfing and diving (spearfishing). I wore it surfing last Thanksgiving (2019) with my Spring 3-2 wetsuit. It's enough to keep your head warm and the material seems to be of good quality. He sits well too. Unfortunately, I had to end my surf session because the hood immediately started to hurt my neck. After an hour it was too painful to continue. The hood does not taper properly from chin to neck. While the hood fits snugly, the material and poorly designed chin area allows for plenty of movement. Typical hoods often have rubber areas to keep the hood from slipping, but this hood doesn't have them. Any activity that requires movement will result in chafing. I strongly advise against buying this hood. Spend the extra money on a better hood from Billabong or another reputable seller and you won't regret it. Better yet, if possible, get a wetsuit with a built-in hood.
