This hood smells like new tires that have been ripped up and left around your house. It stinks in an area of about 3 square meters. feet on which he sits. I like this hat very much! It's very comfortable, high quality and does what it's supposed to do. I used it in cold water (52F) and it kept my head warm. There are no problems getting dressed and undressed (I have long hair). I had to cut out the front to fit my face. I believe there is extra material on the front for a reason, so you can customize it to suit your needs.

A recently certified diver went to Florida called Devils Den where the water is 72C year round. A friend recommended I use his hood and I have to say it changed everything. My head was warm, which kept my body temperature good. With no hood, teeth chattered in the water. If you're going to be diving in water with temperatures this low or lower, I highly recommend getting this wetsuit hood.

I got it for freediving in the lake in autumn and winter. Only 3mm, it really helped, even in winter (although I'll buy 5mm, for really cold days!). I can look at the larger hooded version as the bottom rolled up a bit, but the hood kept my head warm while others shivered. It's not too tight around the chin which was nice, just what it takes to keep that crushing feel.

Nice hood for what I call "cold water" in Florida. (high 60's/low 70's) it's reasonably priced enough that I haven't thought about modifying it (I cut quarter size holes in my ears - big difference in comfort - and opened up the face hole - makes it comfortable too and doesn't bother with the mask i don't like to wear hoods but after some mods i found it very comfortable hat/cap between 75 and 80 that's my opinion anyway.

All weekend I had training dives at the Blue Hole in Santa Rosa. The water temperature is 61 all year round and I wasn't expecting to dive in cold water. I definitely prefer tropical waters. The dive center I trained at provided a 7mm wetsuit but I'm glad I bought it before I left. I used a hot nail to add holes in the top of the hood for ventilation and at the ears to relieve pressure, but like most hoods you still have to run water into the hood to align it. I may never use the hood again…

I bought this hood for surfing and diving (spearfishing). I wore it surfing last Thanksgiving (2019) with my Spring 3-2 wetsuit.
