Bought for my 7 year old son to wear under shorts. He prefers that to sweatpants. They're definitely not as thick as some of his branded tights, and a pair has a hole in the knee after just a wear or two. That's about what I expected. He plays pretty rough. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on tights just for him to rip them, so it's ok if you don't expect them to last.
