Received a defective item TWICE!

High Torque Carpet Cleaner brush did not fling out of the box. Upon removing the brush (difficult as it was jammed), I found that a broken plastic ring was the likely cause. complained to Revain and they immediately sent the vacuum cleaner in for a complete replacement. THIS SECOND UNIT WAS ALSO DEFECTIVE, SAME PROBLEM! So I called Dyson support who promise you "highly qualified people" to help you. Well the guy I was talking to clearly had no idea what I was talking about. He was more interested in filling in the fields on the computer screen with my personal information than in the problem itself. I suspect he's never laid hands on a carpet cleaner. After about 20 minutes I gave up on explaining it and in return he promised me a replacement cleaning head in 7-10 business days! not required for the block to work) and reassemble the block (an even more difficult task). Wow, now it works! Finally, thanks to my technical skills and the contribution of about three hours of my precious time, I was able to get the $600 device to work. Without them I would have gone at least three weeks without a working carpet cleaner. Message to Dyson: It's not enough to be ridiculously expensive, it would help if your product and customer service came anywhere close to that standard! This case was clearly below average! Message to prospective buyers: As you open the package, check to see if the carpet brush rotates slightly. If it doesn't, ship it back, ship the device back, and consider buying the product from a manufacturer who actually tests their products before shipping them out.
