A stunning bouquet from these glasses

I have been using Riedel Boudreaux glasses as my everyday red wine glasses for many years, but then I saw an ad for the new Riedel Winewings Cabernet glass in the Wine Spectator and decided to check it out. Well, at $35 a lens, they're not outrageous, but there seem to be a few other brands with similarly shaped lenses that I wanted to try instead. After watching Revain for a while, I bought them for $17 a pair (I think they were on sale at the time), which is 1/4 the price of Riedel glass. When they arrived I was amazed at their quality. All my Riedel glasses have very small stem ridges from mold, but these hand blown ones have no ridges, no seams, nothing. They are absolutely flawless. I then poured some Shiraz into one and was soon greeted by a more concentrated and juicy bouquet of fruit than I was used to from the same wine in a Boudreaux glass. When I first sipped from the glass, I noticed that the lip looked more elegant than a Riedel glass. It's not the thinnest glass I've ever encountered in a wine glass, it would be ideal if it were just a little thinner, but it's better than the standard Riedel Boudreaux glasses, and at $8.50 each I don't think so that you can find one . a better, more elegantly constructed or nicer looking red wine glass. When my wife got home and saw them, she immediately remarked on how beautiful they were and that's when I ordered another set, realizing I didn't have another glass for Cabernet and Syrah (my two most consumed varieties ) would use. anytime soon.
