Haven't had this outdoors yet but here are my observations after a month of use. This little suitcase is perfect for my eTrex. The outer shell of your GPS should still fit. It's well thought out with an internal baffle that closes with Velcro to keep the GPS in place and a zippered mesh in the lid to hold the batteries. It's difficult for zippers to get around corners, but that's pretty much to be expected given the shape. The zippers also protect against splashing water. The case isn't waterproof or even water resistant, for that you'll need a more durable case like an Otterbox or a Pelican case, but they'll add a lot more weight and you'll lose some of the features of that case. The case is thick enough to protect against bumps. An internal mesh pocket and divider keep your gear well-organized. Cons: The zippers are tight at the corners. Clip it outside of my backpack. Even with a stronger carabiner, I wouldn't trust flimsy webbing to attach the bag to the outside of my pack. your GPS and your coverage) The pros of this case far outweigh the cons in my opinion and it comes at a very reasonable price.
