Review on GF300 Propane Forge: Full Stainless Steel, Single Burner Gas Blacksmith Tool For Knife, Sword, And Candle Holder Making. by Roberto Strumer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

hot hot hot works well.

So I'm gonna try to hit all the answers to the questions I think you might have.Does it work, very very well.Is it complete, except for some items not advertised as included. which you WILL NEED. You will need propane.yeah i know you knew that but have to say it. It needs tongs, else you can not reach in and remove your very very hot steel to shape it.The adjusters for the air mixture work. they are a bit coarse in adjustment but they absolutely do work. The brick also works as intended and helps protect the insulation from direct heat and from abrasion from whatever you are heating.

Pros
  • Welding Equipment
Cons
  • The high price point of the GF300 Propane Forge may be prohibitive for those on a tight budget, making it inaccessible for many aspiring blacksmiths

I have collected a few blacksmithing tools over the years intending to get into it but never got a forge. I guess I intended to build one and didn''t realize they could be bought this cheap. This isn''t even the most inexpensive one I found in this size range. The forge is smaller than I expected but that must help with concentrating heat.
