I have been using this coffee machine for about a year. Everything seemed to work fine at first, but after about 11 months I lost an entire water container from the Kierig side of the coffee maker. The tank has a valve and seal at the bottom so you can fill it in the sink and then put it back in the coffee maker. The gasket on the bottom doesn't always seal when you put it back in the car, so water slowly leaks out over several hours until it's empty. After this happened twice I stopped taking it off to refill it and that solved the problem but removed the convenience. The filter coffee maker lid also has a design problem. Condensation that collects in the lid during the cycle drips onto the worktop behind the coffee maker when it is opened to remove the grounds after brewing. It has a small shelf and drain at the back of the machine to collect and reinject water, but it's too small to be effective. The third issue I have with this machine is the overflow port on the back. I've never overfilled the machine, but if you fill the tank with water above the max line, it overflows from the back of the machine onto the countertop. This can be very annoying if you frequently brew coffee at maximum power. The rest of the coffee maker works well, making fairly hot coffee and brewing it fairly quickly.
