Helped me. The brass plug is removed as per other reviews here. Propane torch to heat up and it came right out. Not sure why it's used. External threads need protection (in my opinion). The fuel tank mount is looser than we would like. However, I was able to diagnose the faulty fuel pump at 10#. I'll amend my rating to see if the lid stays closed with the appropriate pressure. I'll come back to the OEM cap after a diagnosis. After a new fuel pump and a set of blue spring seals, I'm back in the ranks. Installing the Schrader valve on this product is very finicky. It took several loosening/tightening of the sutures to register the pressure. That sucks when you check the pressure at the beginning. The product works, but I would try something else in the future. other
