Stronger signal on coaxial cable

This RG58 cable is 16ft 4in long, I measured it at 1.96dB at 900MHz and at 2.4GHz it was 3.4dB. For comparison, I measured the much thinner RG174, which was only 10 feet long and lost 2.95dB at 900MHz and 4.77dB at 2.4GHz. This cable is worth the money if you need to boost your signal strength.
